Description: We are a family owned and run business. One thing we can guarantee is that we make all our food with love and care…..we have many years years of working knowledge and aim for customers to feel leaving satisfied both in terms of the quality, value for money and providing informal friendly service. Open late morning for our great freshly roasted coffee, teas and other beverages. Open for lunch and dinner between Wednesday and Saturday where we offer one menu where you can have a choice of one, two or three courses. We love to seek the best of what local producers have to offer; focusing on seasonality wherever possible, basing our ideas on British cookery, the Mediterranean and a little bit of anything else that inspires us. Daily specials are available at lunchtime On Sundays we open for lunch from 12-30pm with last orders taken around 3-30pm. Two courses £20-00 per person Three courses £25-00 Children most welcome.

This place has it just right. A small intimate venue with interesting dishes and a family feel. A definite must visit if you are in the area. The only thing that affected our evening was a quick drink in the pub over the road afterwards (as we walked in the whole place stopped and looked as we are not local!) so we didn’t stay there for long and I wouldn’t recommend going to the pub but that does not detract from the restaurant. We also had problems with our taxi but the restaurant helped us out by calling cab firms and even let me use their loo even though they were closed. A real example of A* customer service, great food and wine, and an overall good night! A must visit if you are in the area.

Visited with our friends for a social meal . We enjoyed a very good cauliflower fritter to start which came with chilly jam and cucumber garlic dip. The mains came after a one hour wait which seemed excessive as almost all other diners had finished their meals. We enjoyed the steak and kidney puddings, pheasant and deep fried cod main courses. The addition of a green vegetable would have been welcome . Overall we enjoyed our evening and will plan a return visit
