We were two families of three and we squeezed into one bach to save some dollars. It was perfectly fine - helped by having two bathrooms. Our boys were 12 and you have to leave the doors unlocked at night so they can come in so I would;t feel comfortable with this for younger children - but great for our age. We really enjoyed the entire resort. I was impressed with the quality of the kitchen equipment; we enjoyed the swimming pool and tennis. The pol is due some upgrading but we were assured that this is in the plan. The kayaks need more paddles but I'm sure this is also on the maintenance plan. The environment is relaxing and beautiful and each bach is nicely separated from it's neighbours. You must be aware that the walls are "folding" so you have t have a good relationship with hose you are sharing with. My one complaint on layout is that the TV is on the side table of one of the beds...maybe it could be wall mounted?

We would definitely return. Just wish you could get a late checkout so you could spend Sunday enjoying the resort. I would pay a free to be able to do that....

Free WIFI is appreciated!

Having left the children for two nights with their Dads, we had a lovely relaxing girls' weekend. The bach was lovely and had everything we needed and the deck overlooked the vines and river. Having a swimming pool and petanque on site was great. Very friendly staff too. Would suit couples or families and I'm sure we'll be back in future.

One of the best bachs we stayed in , in our 7 weeks in New Zealand. The Bach had sleeping for 6 , a large sitting area, great kitchen, and a lovely location in vineyard. The resort had a tennis court, kayaks, and swimming pool set along the river. Beds were comfortable, location lent itself to a good nigh sleep.

This was a repeat visit having stayed here two years ago for a night, this time we stayed for 5 nights. Once again we were very impressed with the size, the cleanliness and the facilities at the Bach. We stayed in a very quiet position (Bach 1). There was plenty of places to visit - vineyards, beautiful walks etc. We would highly recommend visiting Matakana Market Kitchen Restaurant - excellent meals served here.

My wife and I stayed here for one night in suite No 11 as part of a one week battery recharging.

Upon entering reception we were greeted well and very efficiently checked in and given directions to our suite.

The suite is laid out in a very ingenious way in order to provide for a couple or a large family group and two bedrooms can be partitioned off in the main suite area thus preserving personal space for two lots of two people.

The suite itself was well presented and maintained and was kitted out with good sofas and dining equipment together with all the kitchen and other facilities needed for a self catering stay. Out of the rear of the suite was a private balcony which was not overlooked by the adjacent two other suites; which we liked.

The outlook from the balcony was very scenic with views over the vineyard down to the river and onward down the valley. The area is very pretty and peaceful, ideal for a restful day or two.

We would definitely stay here again if in the area.
