The only minus was that we found this place the beginning of our vacation and ever since we were looking for a place to stay, we were looking for something like Marina. There is nothing else like Marina at the whole Crete. The owner is so nice and polite, interested in your trips and treating you like you are her own child. She brought us fresh fruits and breakfast though we haven't ask for any of that. The room was spacious and clean with fireplace and balcony with an amazing view. The village itself was full of tranquility and the fact that every man there looked like a mafian made the atmosphere very special and mysterious. We are definitely going to return one day because our stay at Marina made us to want to. It's real paradise.

This hotel was definitely the best I've stayed at in Greece. The owner was incredibly nice and friendly, showing the Cretan hospitality at its finest. She spoke good English and was always ready to help!
Regarding the room, it had an incredible view on the surrounding mountains and was very spacious. It was also very clean and comfortable (large bed!). Centrally located in the lovely town of Anoghia
This place was indeed really enjoyable and welcoming after a day of hiking in the region (beautiful Mount Ida for example).

We spent a couple of nights there. The rooms are very clean and with a beautiful view of the mountains. Marina is really kind, gave us a lot of suggestions and offered to us drinks ans biscuits when arrived and some fruits during our staying. Very recommended.

Anogia is a bit remote, especially if you don't have a car. Hotel is very pleasant and Marina charming and ebullient but many basic things are lacking e.g. Kettle. Nevertheless enjoyed our stay and relaxed. The town actually seems to lack any tourist information, which either be a good or bad thing depending on your disposition.

We had some trouble finding the hotel (don't follow Google Maps directions!) but once we arrived were greeted warmly and amazed at the incredible views from the hotel. The room was much more comfortable than you would expect for the price. We were warm and cozy even on the chilly evening, and had a wonderful stay. Our host even gave us fresh apples from her tree as a parting gift. We couldn't have been made to feel more at home.
