Thoroughly enjoyed our short break staying in one of the cottages. We dined nearly every night in the pub restaurant. Beautiful quality food. All staff are very helpful and friendly. Can’t wait for our next visit.

We found The Board Inn recommended in our Yorkshire out and about book. We booked in advance and we so glad we did. The service and food were way more than the five star rating we could give. Locally sourced meat and vegetables cooked to perfection gravy full of flavour and a Yorkshire pudding like my gran made. The take away cider ws an added bonus too. Homemade plum ice cream finished this wondeful meal off and we all cant thank you enough.

We stayed here for one night with our family occupying 2 rooms . We can honestly say the rooms were immaculate with lots of little extras which were a lovely touch. We all had dinner which was of a very high standard &'so was breakfast with a selection of fresh fruit yogurt cereal jams along with a great cooked full English The quality of all the food was great. The staff were very friendly &'couldn't do enough to make our stay a lovely experience. Lealholm is a very pretty village & so relaxing . We will definitely be back

My husband & I chose to spend the weekend here to celebrate our 35th Wedding Anniversary. We have stayed nearby before and was told it was a great place to eat. We really enjoyed our stay, the staff could not have been more helpful, the food was fantastic, our room was small but very comfortable. The weather was not too kind to us but we love this area so made the most of it.

We were staying in the village by sheer accident and when asking the b'n'b owner what the eating options were we were told it was the board inn or nowhere. We were so lucky, it was fabulous. We had the wild mushroom risotto, a steak and scampi and chips. All were superb with the risotto a real highlight. If you are anywhere nearby do yourself a favour and go, you'll need to book though. They also have about 30 bottles of whiskey to choose from, that's a 10 out of 10 in my book!
