I have started using the White Hart for my business trips to Cornwall. I have tried the Exeter hotels and even the Golf venue a bit further up the A30.
This is an ancient listed property and you can imagine horses being stabled in the courtyard.Yes it has it's quirks but if you go with them you will have a lovely stay.I always stay in Room 18 which is in the front of the hotel overlooking the main town square, but the staff warned me this could be noisy at throwing out time, and it was, but it didn't last long (except for one shouting idiot) and I don't know about you but if you know the noise is coming you can live with it.These front rooms are huge.
In summary, great value, lovely breakfast (they do me a brilliant yoghurt and strawberries) and most of all lovely friendly staff who go out of their way to provide a first class service.
