After a 40 minute taxi drive from Brindisi to Corda di Lana, I was ready for a swim and some time to relax amongst the magnificent olive groves of this area. A warm welcome from the staff when I arrived was a sign of the lovely stay that followed. They were superb and went out of their way to help at every opportunity possible. The rooms were spacious, spotless, well appointed and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a wonderful array of cakes, pastries and cookies, as well as cereals, fruit, cheese and meats. Accompanied by cappuccino that we ordered every morning at no extra cost, this was a great way to start the day. We had dinner at the resort once, and this was probably the least impressive part of the stay.
The pool is spectacular, a short walk from the accommodations. Great to start the day at the pool or wind down after exploring many of the towns or beaches in the area. We will definitely return. Thanks to all for a great stay.

Its not a Masseria experience as food is not produced locally, more of a standard hotel experience. Olive oil, despite being surrounded by olive trees and the Masseria producing its own products, offers locally produced at breakfast. The service is poor. There was no information on the area, best beaches and restaurants to go to. They mention Resort but the spa closed and we had to drive 20 minutes to a private beach where we paid 30 Euros to enter. The location is close to a main road if you don't mind noise while relaxing close to the pool area. The pool area is inconvenient. You have to walk passed the reception and back to the main gate to the pool. I would not recommend it unless someone is looking for a standard hotel experience.

Dearest Marika,
I can well assume the displeasure in your expectations, but allow me to make a basic clarification: the word "masseria" does not disclose an economic activity or business, but rather a renovated historical building, restored to its former glory in which several activities can be carried out; among these, the one of a 4 stars hotel, which we are proud to work for.
Perhaps you were looking for an agriturismo, where the food is entirely produced by the owners themselves (not to mention that we grow the vegetables, right behind the room you booked, in the orchard that we gladly wanted to show you. In vain).
Anyway, my intention is to underline that all our products are local and produced by farms and companies in our immediate surroundings.
You complained about the distance between our Hotel and the (obviously not free, since your reservation was B&B only) beach club (only 9 km). Well, as ours is a FORMER masseria, inevitably immersed in the countryside, for a logic rational and logistical reason, it cannot be close to the sea, don't you think?
In the end, we wish you to find a masseria that suits you...or to pay more attention before booking next time.
Regards

My wife and I stayed on this Masseria for 4 nights, we found it perfect for our needs, quiet, relaxing, rooms very comfortable and spacious, great breakfast and very well kept garden and green areas. The pool was a little bit disappointing, it's not really open until late morning so if you are up for an early start swimming you are there really on your own, fine for me but the average English customer would expect a lifeguard to be always there, plus the swimming pool bar was not really in full operations yet. That said any request we made to the lovely Riccardo and all other staff they went the extra mile to make us happy, for this reason we give 4 stars hoping that next time they we will be visiting they will be 5. Good luck Corda di Lana

Great experience. Wonderful accomodation - we booked a suite with terrace. Very spacious, stylish and comfortable. The management team of Christian and Fabio were extremely helpful and professional , very attentive. Nice swimming pool.
Restaurant was a real pleasure . The breakfast selection was faultless. The optional evening meals offered were varied in choice, well cooked and presented and very good value for money.
In summary - perfecto !

This is a wonderful masseria, it has large sopen grounds, fantastic gardens with two pools ( one for kids and one for adults) and confy sunloungers , rooms are quite generous in space , well equipped and all giving to the central patio with flowers and plants manicured. You can see that who created it put a lot of efforts and quality minded solutions everywhere . Thent this peace of heaven has been abandoned , unfortunately and at least for our experience , in the hands of staff absolutely not at the level , slow, lazy, and inadequate to the location standards .
we arrived at 11 am , and the room was not ready , well no problem we will go to the beach (they have a beach club affiliated to to them )
we left the suitcase in a room and we left .
We came back late afternoon and the packages were still there, we thought they would have at least moved into the room...
we were escorted to the room by a man that was walking so fast (probably he wanted to go back watching football on tv ) that he was at our room when we were still at half the way. Naturally he did not explain anything about the structure. Arriving at the rrom we asked the wireless code...and he said I will print it at the reception (that means you have to come and pick it up) . When later we went back to reception ( he was still watching football) the code was not printed so we even had to wait for it .We moved to the pool, we were the only guests , there is bar there . Nobody asked us if we wish to drink something . I had to go to the bar and order , and naturally taking what ordered back to my table on my own in two turns ( first the glasses, then the drinks)as the barman did not even bother to ask if I need some help
Breakfast , again two persons standing there and except of the hot drinks , they were just standing there as guards pointing where to find the things and doing really little .Quality of food served at breakfast irrilevant, industrial juices, limited selection of obvious fruit ( in a region that has plenty of delicious fruit) and awful coffee
The intention and aspiration can be good but as experienced traveller I regret to write this review, but customers do need to know , that the structure is lavish while the service is .......

Dear Mr. Allievi,

thank you for your review. We are pleased you loved our Masseria and sorry our excellent staff didn't satisfy you the same. Our breakfast buffet is made up of three different spaces that comprehend a great variety of fruit, local homemade jam, sweets and traditional cakes. The salty corner includes local cheese, sausages and all kind of bread. All of this is thought to be self service except for (as you specified) the hot drinks.

We wish we could host you again in the future.

Yours sincerely
