The only problem with this hotel is the STAFF. Extremely rude and not nice people. More specifically the staff in the kitchen. They are so noisy and never let people eat in peace. They always want to be in the center of attention which is not what a 4-star hotel should be like. The staff tries to kick you out of the restaurant at 21.01 sharp with every possible way including taking the plate out of your hands. Extremely rude!!! I want to give the attention to the short, old man who is working there!

Overall a good hotel to stay BUT mind the kitchen staff!!!

To all people who are planning a trip to Aci Trezza, Catania and the whole area there, the best hotel you should go to is Galatea Sea Palace.

About the rooms:
The Rooms are very big, huge porch with great view to the sea and also a kitchen...I went to many hotels in europe and non of them was like that.

The hotel crew and staff:
A basic reason why I liked the hotel so much was also because of the wonderful staff, people who are very friendly, kind and social that all they want is to give you good service and make you happy. There are alot of activities all day for both, kids and adults, great music next to the pool...

The area:
The hotel is located on a main street so there is no good place to walk or go to by a walk, that's why you should rent a car, to visit the places you want to, or go buy stuff from the super market...if you want go hangout for fun at night there is an area called Aci reale that is located 5 minutes away from the hotel by the car where there are many restaurants and people (to all those who like fish markets, there is a fish market from 2 a.m. To 6 a.m.)

So all I can say that it's a very good trip that I will never forget and I'm sure that to this place I will come back for sure!

We stayed here and had an amazing time. We traveled there for the San Giovanni Festival held in June. We rented two of the family residences and they were comfortable and spacious. It is a bit of a distance to the quaint town of Acitrezza, and would recommend renting a car or hiring a driving service to escort you around the area. The restaurant is good and the prices are reasonable. My family & I had an amazing time. It is a beautiful property with access to the water, pool & plenty of chairs to sun bathe.

Room Tip: Pick one of the family rooms. They come with separate bedrooms and kitchens so you can keep some food on hand which is especially good if you have children or would like a snack at night.

The hotel is located not so far way from the old town of Acitrezza, although you do need a car to reach it. Of course if you are prepared to take a 30 minutes walk one way (uphill included), you can try, but do not recommend it. Having a car it was very easy to reach lots of restaurants, lounge bars on the beach and nice promenade of Acitrezza within 5 minutes. Going to Messina direction you can reach Cyclope supermarket within 10 minutes.

The hotel itself is nice but it feels it needs refreshment (one part of the hotel was outdated with stains on the carpet, crumpled plaster, mold in the corridor). Lobby area was not air conditioned
Our room was on the refurbished part and ground floor with a terrace towards the sea. The planning of the room dictates it is designed for a family vacations. Although it is strange to see 1 single bed right after the entrance doors. Is it supposed to be for a child which should sleep and hear the noise in the corridor? Living room/bedroom was spacious with a separating wall for a kitchenette. Terrace was quite big but lacked a bigger isolation from the neighbors.
The pool are was quite good but we have spent most of our time on the sunbeds near the beach. The beach itself as others in that part of Sicily is rocky, so hotel had a simple wooden structure to place the sunbeds and installed stairs to the sea.
We really appreciated that hotel had a free and underground parking - because in Sicily it is really a problem. The streets are narrow and in most of the streets there are limited or toll parking.

Speaking about the service - i think it is one of the easiest thing to change in order to get better ratings. Is it difficult for the receptionist to to tell info regarding breakfast time and location, wifi availability and login credentials? We did have to ask for that ourselves.
Breakfast was located inside (is it difficult to move it to the restaurant or terrace restaurant area??) and quite poor: during 4 days of our stay we did have the same selection: scrambled eggs, sausages, bread, 1 sort of cheese, cereals, yogurt, 2 sorts of croissants, 2 sorts of fresh fruits (melon, watermelon) and that's it. No fresh vegetables (in Sicily??), and ketchup only if requested.

Summarizing everything up the hotel is in a good location, has a good infrastructure but needs some refurbishment and review of customer service.

Room Tip: Take a room with a sea view and preferable not on the ground floor
