Visited Ravenstone Manor for family birthday lunch on Sat 31st. Beautiful building (Is it Arts & Craft?) in a stunning location. New owners and staff very friendly. Lunch delicious - excellent chef. Great potential for becoming one of the best hotels/restaurants in the Lakes. I'll be a regular.

Had a really great weekend here. Our room was clean and comfortable and we slept very well. The food was exceptional, staff are friendly and it really is the most dog friendly hotel ever. Would have no hesitation staying here again. Very informal and relaxing - just what we ordered!

We were recommend to come here for an evening meal so we went on our anniversary and were not disappointed. The quality of the food is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The lamb was cooked beautifully and if you have room for dessert they are very tasty and are presented in a lovely way.

What a lovely find!! Stayed for a short break after a recommendation by a friend and this is now my favourite Lakes hotel and great if youve got a dog. The room was lovely with great views right over Bassenthwaite, a lovely deep bath with fluffy towels and everything we needed in the room. Step out of the door and you are literally in the woods with endless trails for everyone and a stone throw from the lake side. Ate in the restaurant which has atmosphere, great service and the food was faultless (the chef and kitchen team are going to get a fantastic name for themselves and deservedly so). Lovely nook and cranny corners to hide away in with a book in the bar and lounge. You will not be disappointed and you will be back........

Just back from a perfect long weekend, staying at the Ravenstone Manor with our dog. We had previously stayed here a year ago but the hotel has improved under the new management. It is the ultimate dog friendly hotel where your dog can be with you wherever you are. The room was comfortable, the staff friendly and the food wonderful. I have to make special mention of the 'Textures of Rhubarb' desert which was not only beautifully presented but was possibly the best dessert I have ever tasted; we liked it so much, we had it two nights running. We will be back!
