Spent the holidays at Villa Renaissance. The property is lovely. Our 1st floor condo was great for our kids, who loved staying there. I think this is a great location for couples, girls weekend, or families (though maybe not with very young children). There weren't alot of organized activities for the kids, but we were there to be on the beach together as a family. The condos are roomy and beautifully decorated. The staff were very helpful with helping us organize everything we wanted to do while we were on the island. The condos are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. There is no hot tub or grills for cooking, but the kitchen had everything we needed for the days we wanted to cook. The staff was amazing and couldn't have been nicer, with the exception of the assistant manager, who sadly does not have good personal skills. She was a detraction, but the rest of the staff was so great that it made up for her unpleasant and unprofessional nature. Everything you need is within walking distance; groceries, shopping, activities, and lots of restaurants. We can't wait to go back! Didn't use the spa so no knowledge about it.

First the good part: This place is a beach lovers' dream. I wanted to do something super special for my sun and surf addicted wife's 40th birthday and so I requested a 3rd floor beachfront suite (2BR) with a balcony overlooking the ocean. The suite itself was magnificent with a very large living room/dining area opening onto a spacious private balcony (large enough for a big table with 4 chairs and plenty of room to walk around). It was very tastefully furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, TV and stereo; the place was more like an apartment than a hotel room and it was very, very comfortable and homey. We really loved it. Opening the drapes in the morning and seeing the ocean is really fantastic.
The hotel has a lovely pool, well furnished with lots of clean towels, so you can choose whether to go to the beach (which has the most amazing powdery soft white sand and warm turquoise water) or lounge at the pool. Make a left, pool. Make a right, beach—how can you go wrong?
When we checked in we were taken to our room by a pleasant fellow who helped with our bags and told us about nearby local restaurants and other helpful information. Unfortunately, he overstayed and kept talking (and talking) even after I had handed him his tip and made it pretty clear (or so I thought) that we were ready to be left alone. There is a reasonably priced diner-type restaurant across the road and a supermarket, with shockingly high prices, nearby where we stocked up on breakfast food, fruit, and coffee. We made excellent use of the kitchen. The housekeeping was top-notch as well. The maid not only made the beds and tidied the bathroom, she also cleaned the kitchen and swept the entire apartment. All in all, our stay was super-relaxing and very pleasant. Be aware: restaurants (with the exception of the relatively inexpensive spot across the road from the hotel) are pricey, so be prepared for that inevitability.

Now here is what I do NOT like: the way the VR does business. Following our stay, I have regularly received marketing emails offering special "deals" which always seem to evaporate when I call to request a booking. This has happened more than once. Just a few days ago, I received a "3 nights for the price of 2" email offer. When I called to inquire about the price of the 3-for-2 offer, I was told by the woman who answered the phone that "the price I am quoting you is for the 3 nights for price-of-two deal". The price given was $660 per night for a 1 BR suite. When I told her that less than a year ago I had rented a two-bedroom suite for four nights for $500 a night (with a fifth night given at a good discount), and asked how it was possible that the price that a 1BR suite would be 32% greater than the price of a 2BR suite, her response was that our prior 2BR rental suite must have been "under repair" or somehow in imperfect condition. This was flatly untrue—our suite was flawless. I was told that, now, a 2BR oceanfront would be $900 per night. I had my wife call a few days later and request a booking without mentioning the "3 nights for the price of 2" offer and guess what the price quoted for a 1BR oceanfront suite was? That's right—$660 per night (and they made no mention of a special 3-for-2 deal either). If prices have gone up, why not just say so instead of offering supposed bargains that are no different from everyday prices? And why, in the space of space of less than a year, have their prices risen 80%? So even though we had a lovely stay and would like to return, the VR's bait and switch advertising leaves a bad taste with the result that we will look elsewhere.

The amounts quoted are incorrect. We have had a less than $20 per person increase in 2013 not an 80% increase.

Our 2012 rate for a one bedroom suite was $945, it is now $990. The 2012 price for a two bedroom suite was $1210, it is now $1270. Our two bedroom suites are more expensive than our one-bedroom suites since they sleep more people.

We do not employ bait and switch tactics and the 3 nights for the price of 2, or a 33.3% discount on our full rack rate is available during 2013 with the exception of Xmas and New Year.

Spent 2 weeks at the Villa Renaissance. It was heaven. Right in the heart of Grace Bay . Walking distance of shopping, restaurants grocery store. Staff is outstanding, very friendly and helpful.

Note this is not an appropriate resort for children. It's an adult oasis.

Also note the best rooms and services when you reserve and rent directly from Villa Renaissance.
Favorite restaurants , Lemon Cafe-exotic and outstanding meterranean food. Many many choices of restaurants. For a change and special evening go to the Indian restaurant just outside of the resort in Regent Village.

We stayed at Villa Renassance in May. This was my favorite vacation I have ever had!!! The place is soooooo pretty!!! I have never seen such crystal clear water. We have traveled all over the carribean and Turks doesnt compare to any. I have stayed in 5 star resorts and Villa renaissance topped them all. It was so clean, so well taken care of. The workers there were soooo nice and made you feel right at home. We stayed in 501 and the condo was PERFECT!! Would def. recommend! The location was great, and we were able to walk to most restaurants. The pool was beautiful and very clean. We brought collapsable floats and used them in the pool and even the ocean, bc it was so calm. This trip was so relaxing!!! If you are debating places to stay, look no further, this place is perfect, from the moment you enter until you have to leave!! :)

Villa Renaissance is a very well thought out small quiet resort. We just returned from a 7 day stay in a two bedroom condo. If you want a place that has a restaurant and several pools to choose from this is not the resort for you. One quiet pool that is sheltered from the wind and gives you the feeling of being in an italian Tuscany setting then you should check into this resort. The resort was quiet while we were there and we almost felt as if we owned the pool!
The breakfast is set out every morning for you to eat at your leisure; eggs, bacon and sausage, pancakes, fresh fruit, juice and coffee and an assortment of pastries and bread.
The staff ( Shireen and Gorgeous) were always at the front desk for any needed help. An added plus was an included golf package at the Provo golf course. We would definitely return to this warm and beautiful island and it's white white sandy beaches.
