“Excellent connectivity”
Review of Buddha Air

Reviewed 29 December 2017 via mobile

We recently fly Buddha air from simara to Kathmandu & then another to pokhra & further to Bharatpur.
The flight are good & mostly ATR with a seating of around 50 passengers. Buddha air is the most safe airline in Nepal & with high safety standards.
Recommended to fly an sector if connectivity available.

NOTE: We did NOT fly into Lukla airport! I had to put a destination or the review would not be accepted. We flew from Kathmandu to Kathmandu.

The Gate 1 Tour flight-seeing of Mount Everest cost an additional $275. They use Buddha Air. Do not expect to get "close" to Mount Everest. You will see the top of Everest if the weather is good but you will be at a good distance. The windows of the Buddha Air plane were significantly scratched and tiny so picture taking was limited. Very limited.
Time was promised in the cockpit to take pictures....this amounted to about 45 seconds with a flight attendant standing in the best spot for picture taking. If you were not one of the lucky 2 people whose turn in the cockpit coincided with the viewing of Everest, you were out of luck.

Please note that this was a round trip Kathmandu flight, but in order to post this review I had to use a destination airport. We were air born for about one hour. We departed from and returned to Kathmandu airport.
What a way to see the beauty of the Himalayas. This was a one hour flight which included an opportunity to view Mt Everest from the pilot's point of view. All passengers were invited to the cockpit to see Everest. Also, all passengers had a window seat. The hostesses were delightful and helpful pointing out mountains we passed and indicating them on the route maps they gave us. We also had handfuls of tasty candies. This is an expensive adventure but all agreed it was worth the money.

Flight was fine and travelers by the right side of the flight enjoyed the scenic beauty of Himalaya. But for the return flight, despite that the weather was not very adverse after 2.00 PM, the flight scheduled for 2.40 PM on Dec 23 was announced cancelled at 1.15 PM. Reliability is a question.

A nice and easy flight. Only 20 minutes late on departure which is much better than the normal. The flight is brief but easy
