“Great Flight”
Review of Virgin Atlantic Airways

Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Check in was completely computerised including printing your own baggage labels! The plane was a 2-4-2 seat configuration and we were sat together on a set of 2 seats. There was enough legroom, shoulder room and the entertainment was very good as well, loads of films, music and games. The VA cabin crew were very professional, food on board was OK but not wow.

Never flown with virgin before and was looking forward to it, the food was fine , but we're sat in the middle isle, not much room at all , chap in front put his chair right back after take off so I had the tv screen six inches from my face, for the whole journey, my eyes were hurting after an hours viewing. People that have not visited the USA before expect a long wait, it took us two hour to get through passport control. Would I fly Virgin again, probably not....

‘Upper Class’: inppropriate title....seating uncomfortable, hosting attentive but more ‘Eazyjet than Emirates’ and the food was ordinary.....sad to say that I felt underwhelmed.

We upgraded to Economy plus at a cost of three times the price....really not worth the extra money all we seemed to get extra was one glass of presecco on arrival....very cramped no more space than economy, second flight was with Delta a 4 hour flight without any food... luggage damaged on the way back

just arrived back from a virgin atlantic flight to Orlando . after having our original flight cancelled from Manchester we had to re book this flight from Gatwick we were told that the schedule had changed and the fact that we had already booked our holiday extras meant nothing to virgin just told to read terms and conditions. the only refund was on the flight. which we did get. so re booked from Gatwick the price was better so we felt happy. the flights themselves were outbound half full but even so virgin still ran out of one of the meal options . what we had to eat was terrible . we left most of the food . also staff seemed to want to rush your service so they could relax . plane was dirty and had food on the seats and floor from previous flights . coming back only quarter full aircraft did not run out of food but food and condition of plane the same. only good factor was the cost of the flight we paid and the fact the planes were empty enough for us to find a reasonable good seat. we have travelled with virgin many times and are seeing a decline in economy service . we only us virgin because they offer direct flights from uk to Orlando and the cost this year was one of the cheapest we have paid in over 15 years of travel to Orlando. but beware prices can still be high if not booked at the right time .
