We flew from Cancun to Burlington vt via Chicago in late November.
Cancun airport is quite busy so we opted to visit the lounge. It was nicely done but a bit pricey for an airport lounge. It was $38 per person. We did it because of the crowd in the departure area. The lounge has some hot food and also cold, mix your own cocktails, beer, wine and soft drinks.
It was good that we waited there because our flight was three hours late. It did not effect us since we had a scheduled 5 hour layover in Chicago.
The flight was uneventful as was the connection. It was a bit bumpy but that is not the airline’s fault. We arrived home a bit early.
Chicago is an awful place to connect, especially internationally. We cleared customs and then had to take the airport train and then walk about a mile to our flight. And, we had to do security again.
Major pain.

On time departure and early arrival. Good in-flight service. Plane was clean. Smooth flight from take off to landing.

Contrary to what most have said, I was pleasantly surprised by my experience with United. Flight attendants and gate crew were very cordial and professional. The gates in the terminal were comfy. The plane ride was comfortable as well. The in-flight entertainment was solid as well. All-around very few, if any complaints.

On the trip over, we took an early morning flight, day before thanksgiving. It was super packed 5 hr flight. They only had United Wifi with limited entertainment options and had to be used on your own device. If you didn't download the app, I dont think that option would be there. Flight attendants were friendly but onboard options were limited.

The return flight had both Wifi and DirectTV available for purchase. Flight attendants were friendly but limited food options esp. vegetarian. Unfortunately both legs were early morning and someone near me had a bad stomach and there was a nasty smell for the whole 5 hrs. It was almost unbearable. Couldn't sleep or move.

We flew on an Embraer 175, a larger regional jet with 76 passenger capacity. About a 2 hour flight. Good service by all of the crew members. The seats in First Class very comfortable! Flight was right on schedule.
