“Chicago to Amman”
Review of Royal Jordanian

Reviewed 9 December 2019

I flew this airline since it was a partner with American Airlines and I was using points. This was not a very comfortable overnight flight for me. The seat was not comfortable in the reclined (lay flat?) position for me (I am 6' 230lbs) and it seemed to be designed for a much smaller person.
The service staff was also not attentive and spent most of the time in the service area with the curtains closed.
This was the best flight option for Amman but I would opt to go through London or a European city in the future and connect with a more comfortable airline.
On the positive side Amman was a very great visit.

We were able to upgrade through the bidding process. I am so glad we did. It was worth every penny. Service was exceptional. Food was amazing. Seats could be made into a bed. Will travel with this airline again.

Worse flying experience ever. The flight attendants were very rude. They need to improve their customer service and be more approachable and friendlier. Seems like it's done on purpose. I had couple of issues and mentioned it to a flight attendant. No one tried to help. Same thing on the flight going back home to Chicago. Even took a flight to Dubai from Amman. Same thing. Was hoping to see one of the attendants even smiling. But NO. I will Never fly Royal jordanian again!

Typical and comparable to US Carriers flying international but thought the food was better. Attendants are not as personal or as friendly as those on US carriers but that may be a result of cultural differences.

BEWARE most flights coming and leaving the United States will make a refueling stop in Canada you will not leave the flight but need a visa . If you are not a US citizen or green card holder or from a country that can do a transit visa Canada will decline your visa . Royal Jordanian will not help with the process and have no clue about the process or even the website to apply . If you book through a third party it’s even worse they will charge you a fee to change the flight for you or they will cancel without a refund . Very rude customer service will hang up the phone several times on you because they are not patient . Will not travel again with them .
