Qantas had let their standards drop but they seem to have picked up again and we had a good flight with pretty good service. The flight left on time, leg room wasn't too bad and the staff friendly and professional. The 'snack' served was pretty simple and small but otherwise all good.

Departure was 1.5 hours late which led to missing our connecting flights to Victoria,Canada. Yes, Qantas did book us on WESTJET but they did not confirm and the booking had been cancelled by WEBJET. Had to go back to International airport to get Qantas to book for us again. By the time we arrived in Victoria we had missed our booked transport from Victoria airport to our hotel, lost the $70 we had paid in advance for the ride. On return flight Honolulu to Sydney, flight QF4 was again 2 hours late leaving. No more flying Qantas for us!

I was annoyed with the new self check in, a hassle !! give me a person at a desk!! The very abrupt staff at these kiosks told me there was now a small counter at the back. These staff need to be a bit more friendly. Because i was having difficulty with the machines, they kept coming up to me asking me security questions. Apart from this annoying check in experience the rest of the flight was better than expected.
It was the A380 and was better than expected, comfortable...as much as economy can be, the foot nets worked well to just the legs stretched out a bit, knee room adequate, all staff were helpful, food was good, but I ordered the vegan meal....probably just get the regular meals and eat the veg etc, as I just didn't want to risk eating the meat.
The plane was a definitely smoother ride than the 747s.

Travelling with my wife who requires assistance, the staff both in the lounge, during boarding and on the flight were tremendous, ensuring her flight was comfortable and easy to have. Qantas provided a wheelchair access and departure at each end of the flight with very little fuss.

Thanks Qantas for making our recent trip to Greece a great experience ! We are Qantas members and have been for many years and those who fly with Qantas know you only have to ask politely if you require help, food, drinks etc etc. These guys worked tirelessly on our latest flight to Greece (via London British Airways) and always had a smile on their faces. Always happy to make our flight a cozy one and the food was pretty good and plenty of ! They kept us hydrated with water / tea etc for the entire flight which helps with fatigue, plus overall every flight attendant on board was always happy to have a chat with you. As you know big haul flights are crazy so get in the zone and your flight will turn out perfect ! Thanks Qantas
