“Normal flight”
Review of Oman Air

Despite the crew was helpful and the flight was good, it surprised me that none of the crew spoke the national language from Sri Lanka. When you flight between two countries you must speak, at least, those two languages.

I got a terrific offer from Oman Air and wanted to try them out. The experience was smooth and definitely Value for Money. Muscat Airport does not have any aero bridge and hence you'd be transported from the plane to airport by buses. The ground service is not as efficient as the in flight service and also being a small airport, it does get crowded and noisy.

Oman airlines should do a better job of upgrading their boarding areas which had no escalators and also same with their planes. I felt i was on a some third world domestic plan an international airlines on my fight from Muscat(Oman) to Kathmandu.

After reading particularly bad reviews on a number of sites after buying tickets with Oman Air, I wasn't looking forward to the flight.

The flight boarded on time and was a ~7 hour flight to Muscat, home of Oman Air, then another similar length flight onwards from there. Plane departed on time. There was a meal service almost immediately after reaching cruising altitude and the meals were genuinely nice. I, again, wasn't expecting much but it was good. I got the Chicken in some kind of peppercorn like sauce which came with lovely soft bread and a nice side sort of coleslaw dish.

Drinks and snacks were available throughout the flight by asking and a regular drinks service was provided by attendants.

I recently flew to Sri Lanka with Oman Air. I had read some pretty bad reviews about their service but I found them to be on time; good standard of cabin service and an efficient check in online and at the airports. The aircrafts are not brand new but they are clean and comfortable. I would use them again.
