“Good flight, delayed luggage”
Review of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines

Older aircraft but good service. Strange choice of menu items i.e .Taster menu of starters including raw beef. Staff experienced, professional and friendly. Unfortunately luggage did not arrive in Dubai with us. Non existent KLM personnel in Dubai, handling agent DANATA surly and unhelpful.

From online booking, checking in and luggage drop off at Cardiff to our arrival in Madrid we could not find one fault. Staff were helpful and cheerful, the on board crew on both legs and in both directions (out and back) were absolutely charming, helpful and polite. British Airways could learn a thing or two, Flights left on time and any help we needed at Amsterdam was readily available. Passengers with walking sticks and wheelchairs were fast tracked through queues without even having to ask. What a delight.

We had booked 2 tickets in Economy Plus which gave us good seats in the front part of the plane.
The Boeing 747 is old, entertainment system is outdated and slow and has a lot of hickups.
Chairs are old but o.k., the space in the 2 seats is good because both passengers have space on the side of the chair.
Crew is nice and helpfull, food o.k.
However we had to wait for our Luggage in Chicago at the belt for 3 hours (cargo hold door frozen)
The airport crew send us from one belt to the other and back and forward, every passenger was totally upset.
no information on when they expected Luggage on the belt, very poor communication.

Just a great airline. The service was great. The flight attendants were really nice, helpful, polite to passengers. The meals were also wonderful so was the in-flight entertaining.

Flight left on time. Very comfortable seats. Flight attendant was very nice. Dinner was not delicious, but we were offered free cognac. Red eye flight, so peaceful and quiet. Entertainment system was old but I had a good book.
