Just flew from Newcastle to Amsterdam and return on family holiday fantastic friendly staff very informative and lovely snacks and drinks provided on the flight. Couldn't fault an excellent service and team.

This was the most uncomfortable flight I have ever taken. seats offer to padding and are extremely narrow. Metal box located under seat in front took up 1/2 of foot space.
Food was average to poor, Service was however very good with friendly attendants.
Ride was a little bumpy probably do to smaller sized plane.. No terminal open when landed in LAX sat 20 min on tar mat waiting for opening to disembark.

It was the first but definitely not the last time I fly KLM. Exquisite personal service was offered to our family by the very nice, attentive and caring Cabin Crew that really seemed to enjoy working together and delivering the best possible service to all passengers, regardless of Cabin Class. Traveling in Economy Class, but receiving attention and service at First Class level. That's rare, but that was our experience with KLM traveling transatlantic. Will definitely fly KLM again next time I have the opportunity. That Cabin Crew was the Best possible ambassadors for KLM.

I had two flights on this trip, the first from Madrid to Amsterdam, and then from Amsterdam to Kristiansand after a short layover. The flight to Amsterdam was average, with an average kind of snack and a rather cramped seat. It arrived just a little late so I raced to catch my connection, although in the end that flight boarded a bit late. I liked very much this second flight, which was a Cityhopper flight. The seats were much roomier, and the flight staff was friendly and accommodating. Since it landed in a tiny airport, the whole experience seemed more friendly and homey.

I used to fly KLM in the 90's very often and it was a modern and well kept airline. This is no longer the case. I traveled again last month and everything in the aircraft remain as it was in 1990. The same entertainment system, with loose wires and broken accessories, and obvious budget cuts in inflight services.

It's quite sad really to start seeing the European airlines going is such decline compared to the newer airlines that are on the rise. If I have a choice, I will not choose again to fly KLM.
