Review of Finnair

It was our first experience with Finnair for an emergency travel from Oslo to Helsinki.
Check in was fast and easy (polite and kind operator), and the flight itself smooth and pretty comfy.
The extra luggage option was big help and for a more than decent price.

The Embraer 190 plane was only 70% full. There were many empty seats around us. The service was friendly and efficient. The 50-minute flight was on time. Excellent value for a 79-euro return flight.

The worst in more than 20 years of world travelling.

I flew perfectly with Aeroflot, Cathay Pacific, China Eastern. China Southern, Shanghai Airlines, Juneyao Airlines, Spring Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, Xiamen Airlines, Philippine Airlines , Thai Airways, Cebu Pacific, Air Inc. ...

nearly all of air travelling is my second nature. Until I found out Finnair. 2019 they flew my underage son to Finnland into vacation... he never returned; now in 2020 they make intercontinental family life impossible. This airline is imho obsolete and 65 years behind time.

We booked FinnAir from London to Helsinki way back in 2019 before Covid. This trip was for August 2020. We were not allowed to fly into Europe and Delta canceled and refunded our flight to London. We requested a refund or voucher through FinnAir's online system. It took 3 months for a reply and they said they could not refund or offer a voucher because "the flight operated as normal". Too bad we couldn't legally enter the country and Delta was cool enough to refund a non-refundable flight because of the current situation. So Delta has been great during this situation and Finnair obviously is looking at short term profits not long term customer satisfaction. I would have gladly taken a voucher even!

We were contacted and informed by Finnair that our winter trip to Thailand in December was cancelled due to Covid. One phone call with customer service (very friendly) and four days after our refund was sent to our bank.

Happy customer and this is how these kind of errands should be handled. Seamless!
