“Competition causing service drop”
Review of British Airways

Reviewed 4 weeks ago

BA do get a lot right but the service is beginning to fray around the edges. It is great that the baggage allowance is still generous, especially when compared to the competition but cost cutting is beginning to have an impact. The Americans sitting next to us were aghast that the refreshments were charged for. I was equally aghast that the only gluten free option on the (Marks and Spencers) menu was a bag of crisps.

BA is still the airline of choice, but it isn't the service provider it once was. Maybe that is inevitable with the low cost providers nipping at its heels, but it is a shame.

Used ba loads of times, mainly for flights between London and Turin! Had only one issue with a delay that was recognized and I got compensation for within 2 weeks. Seats comfortable, allowed 2 cabin bags. They used to serve food but now stopped, but they do have marks and spencer on board which does good stuff. Normally on time or only slightly delayed. Reccomended!! They have loyalty programm which is good as well as gives extra benefit if you fly a lot!

British Airways are the tops. We were so well looked after by Huw David who could not do enough for us, Even made us a pot of tea an hour before we landed without asking for it. This was an excellent flight with delicious menu and choice of food.. because of this excellent purser and his delightful crew will choose BA again.. Well done Huw.

I think that the service was really good. There is plenty of legroom and the meals are good. The check-in experience is really good and the reception onboard is quite warm. Unfortunately for BA, their entertainment is very limited and the onboard Wi-Fi service is virtually non-existent.
