I don't know why AA has so many terrible reviews here. The whole process was very smooth and easy for us - not a single complaint. First class was WONDERFUL and I think I will be dreaming of the pumpkin kalua pork tortellini for a long time. The employees were nice, the service was great, and the app was very helpful for gates and any updates. Zero complaints here....makes you wonder if it's on the receiving end rather than the company causing the problems.
They tell you that cancellation of a ticket would get you travel credit that you can use to book any flight. Complete lies. It has so many strings attached to it. The originating country should be the same as the canceled ticket, and it can ONLY be booked a year from the date of the previous booking of the canceled flight, which is THE stupidest thing I have seen. Also, for any queries regarding this, they tell you to contact Customer Relations, which, firstly, don't respond for a month, and when they do, they send a generic "being sorry" email. Worst customer service I have seen from an airline. Would recommend a third-tier airline over AA anytime.
Please please don’t book this if you want to have a relaxing vacation. The delays are insane and they will keep moving you from gate to gate. They moved my 6:00 am flight to 8:00 am, but we sat in the plane till 9:30 and i missed my connecting flight. Since i missed my 10:20 am connecting flight they booked us for 6:45. Whenever you think it’s the worst it will get even more worst. Currently i’m sitting in Miami international airport and they just told us we will be leaving at 8:40 which means i will be getting to my destination at 11:20. Its exhausting and i think i’m hallucinating from being awake since 3:00 am for my “6:00 am flight”. This flight will probably get more delayed but im praying it won’t.
