Needed to be home for work On Saturday. Connecting flight from Sac to PHX was late over a half hour due to "mechanical issues". Landed in PHX, ran to my gate to go to columbus. Got there 5 minutes before time to leave and they closed the doors and wouldn't let me on even though they knew my other plane was there. Closest flight they could get me home was a whole 24 hours later. Also my bag made it on the plane but they somehow wouldn't wait for me. So they paid for hotel in PHX but I missed a whole day of work and didn't have my bag the entire time. Asked online for compensation of what I just went through and the missed money for work and they gave me $25 credit. Literally a slap in the face. That's barely a meal nowadays.

Finally on my real flight home on Saturday to CMH that flight was also late about 25 minutes for more mechanical issues. The worst flight experience I've ever had overall.

Stuck in airport 15 hours starting with cockpit air-conditioning issues then AA unable to secure pilots and flight attendants for 15 hours. Would not cancel flight just strung passengers along hour after hour thru the night. No water, no food, weak apology. Customer service 200+ people deep. Terrible!!

The flight to DFW was late by over 12 hours.
The flight back to El Paso was late by over 12 hours.
This airline has lost touch with their customer base. Flying American Airlines left me with a sense of helplessness.

Why did I ever choose this company over United? I'll never do that again. My fist flight was delayed over and over again until I had to leave the next day. I finally made it through the TSA line after the guy sent my bag in slanted and got it stuck. Now I'm waiting on another flight that has been delayed (Not surprised).
