“Comfortable”
Review of Air Canada

Reviewed 31 May 2018

Comfortable seating and good service. Flight home was delayed, and our connection missed, but Air Canada placed us in a hotel all costs found.

The Good - This was a direct flight form Halifax to London. The plane originated in Toronto but due to bad weather in Toronto it was not able to take off. Air Canada rerouted a pane from St. John's, NFLD to cover the flight. With a 11:55 am departure date even though we were 3.5 hours late leaving Kudos to AC and their staff for even getting us off that late. Especially the Cabin Staff who had to work the extra shift.

The Bad - The fact that we had to wait an extra 3.5 hours to depart. That is the hazard of travelling though. Best to just chill.

The UGLY - Our luggage went out anticipating a 11:55 pm departure. However, it not happen. The luggage was slept on the tarmac until the replacement plane arrived. The only problem was that the rain came and the AC made npc attempt to cover the bags. Hence most of the bags were soaked by the time they reached their destination. Not cool AC.

Found the Air Canada staff to be friendly and helpful. We showed up early for our return flight, when checking in the Air Canada person offer to put us on standby on an earlier flight which we did get on. It was nice to get home earlier then planed.

The seats were reasonably comfortable (of course not as good as those in Qantas) and service was agreeable.

Luckily we did not experience any flight delay and arrival arrangements were up to standard.

This was the first leg in our itinerary to Yellowknife.

We purchased upgraded seating in economy to get extra leg room. It was certainly worth it. Although our flight was delayed, every other aspect went well. We were well fed and there was a nice selection of movies/TV shows to watch on our individual monitors. Thumbs up!
