“Good Service and affordable price”
Review of Jetstar Japan

good service, friendly staff and able to converse in English.
Arrived early to drop our luggage and the queue was a bit long but we manage to catch our flight on time. make sure to arrive early at the airport.
On top of everything the fare was affordable and we seat at the economy class bound for Tokyo, Japan.
Great experience in Japan tho , would love to come back someday!

My husband and I recently flew to Osaka from Hong Kong. On check-in our seats were upgraded to extra legroom seats for free as there weren't any two seats sitting together left. Staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful. I'm a nervous flyer and they always put me at ease.

We were looking to fly from Osaka to Sapporo on Sunday morning and I was informed on Saturday evening that the flight had been canceled. What was strange was that the reason for the cancellation provided was weather related, but a number of other flights on the same route were still operational, including other low cost operators plying at similar times. When we tried to speak to one of the reps and asked them for options they were completely unhelpful and were clearly unable to do anything but put us on a specific alternative flight on Monday afternoon. They refused to pay/provide accommodation in Osaka where we were to check out soon. We suggested letting us take a flight later that day, or on one of their associate airlines or from another city so that we would not need to book another hotel and loose 1 night of our bookings at the destination, but they just kept repeating the standard response that the only option we had was the one flight on Monday afternoon. We ended up practically loosing 2 days of our trip thanks to the unwillingness of Jetstar to help even though we suggested options that would not have added any cost to them.

I booked the maximum luggage (40kg of check in), in the webpage when you open the carry-on information the page is literally broken, so at the moment you arrive to the airport you see that they check the weight of your carry-on and you have to pay 10x the normal price for kg... The staff don't understand English and made me put my clothes in a plastic bag and check-in it (and pay 12k ten of overweight).... MY WORST EXPERIENCE with an airline for sure.

Low cost companies are notoriously unreliable and Jetstar is clearly among the top there. They cancelled my flight 8 hours before flying - and when I managed to get at the airport on time (having ruined my last day of sightseeing), the new flight was delayed by 1.5 hour - am still waiting as I typed. I flew on the way with Vanilla airline and I wish I had booked the return with them...
