We have taken a number of Celebrity cruises and two of them have been transatlantic cruises from Southampton. This one, taken in October 2019, was a disappointment primarily because the passenger list was so different from other cruises we have taken with Celebrity. This isn't a criticism it is simply a matter of the date. The ship had an over abundance of elderly who required walkers, crutches, wheelchairs and tiny motor scooters. I would suggest if you want a younger crowd you go at an earlier time of the year. Our past cruises in the months of April and August were more enjoyable

As usual Celebrity Ship experience - GREAT Food / Drinks / Service -EXCELLENT Only gripe being late notification of restrictions in Canaries. To be advised only 4 days before departure was a little naughty. Fortunately we had Cabin credit which covered excursions on Lanzarote & Gran Canaria The Lanzarote trip can only be described as dreadful being out 2 hours that should have been 3 hours. We were later credited 25% for this debacle. The Gran Canaria trip was very good and we were allowed outside the bubble for Coffee etc. Nevertheless it was wonderful to be back on Celebrity and thanks to all staff who looked after us very well indeed. Will be back on board soon.

Have just spent a 12 day cruise on the celebrity silhouette Had a conceiage cabin with balcony on the ninth deck First thoughts was going to be a fantastic ship Two days before sailing email stating unless booked on a celebrity excursion we were unable to get ashore on lanzarote Tenerife or Gran Canaria Being so late we were unable to cancel The cabin was fantastic as was the ship company who done a great job Then on the fourth day when going back to our cabin walked passed two cabins where the passengers were in quarantine suits Bit of an eye opener Walking passed again a lady in distress said that they had quarantine her and her daughter in different cabins Another occasion the same thing happened to a gent on the same deck Only way of getting off in the canaries was via an excursion Lanzarote took a 72 dollar each excursion to costa tequese On arrival told to stay in a bubble Taken to a small hand made cove on a secluded beach No it was in a complex with running sewage coming out of the toilets A drink was included bought out by a bar steward as we had to stay in a bubble The drink was a local beer no other option The cove pool was very rocky and dangerously sharp if you trod on the volcanic rock Very disappointed with this excursion Complained to guest relations and got a 50 percent refund Not many people went on excursions Tenerife went to another beach break neat Santa Cruz it was a better beach but felt uneasy about this bubble situation Gran Canaria Went on a beach break which was over an hour drive to resort Nice pool but no sun due to hotel covering it It was next to a beach but they insisted we stay in a bubble Eventually got the tour rep to phone her company who phoned celebrity who said it was ok to go to the beach By this time we only had half an hour to walk on the beach as we had over an hours drive to get back to Las Palmas We wanted to go to the supermarket in the harbour but we’re told we were not allowed When we get back on the ship the captain announced that due to some of his being testing for covid positive that part of deck 3 was being use to quarantine the crew There was passengers on this deck Some of the passengers never got off the whole cruise The wearing of masks was mandatory even in the solarium which I found unpleasant If I’d have been told sooner I would have cancelled as would a lot more on this cruise The next cruise is a 3 day cruise Southampton Portland and Dover It never went to Dover After it will be going to Miami with no passengers for ten days to which it will br deep cleansed This was my first cruise with celebrity I am a seasoned cruiser with princess and royal Caribbean

We sialed on Silouhette on the 27th Septmewber 2021 our first celebrity cruise. The check in at the port in Southapmton was both very easy and welcoming. Once on board we made our way to our cabin on deck 11 we had booked aqua class and had a balcony stateroom , the cabin was very neatly laid out with plenty of storage space. We found the cabin maid to be exceptional very pleasant always polite and helpful and maintianing our cabin to a very high standard ( thank you Grace). We were booked for open dining , we aate in Blu which was excellent, we also ate in the mian dining room which was also excellent with a large choice of wines. The food was of a very high standard. We also ate in several of the specialist restaurants which were also of a high standard, our only disappointment was Quisine we found this to be style over substance, however we brought it to the attnetion of the staff and we were refunded the fee for the evening The oprts of call were excellent especially Vigo and Cadiz. I would reccommend anyone to sail on this ship it is a class act we have already booked another cruise on Celebrity Reflection for September 2022. The crew and staff on board are outstanding throughout and cannot do enough for you.
