Hey sheriff, Me and my family spent my last summer holiday in low Tatras - a lot of to see. For example hiking, cycling, thermal springs, aquapark, kids were riding a horse, and so on... It is beautiful over there. If you have car it is even easier. You can make a day trip to high tatras to go around strbske pleso or to go to spissky castle and Levoca. And we have the best hotel ever. Typical slovak chalets, very comfy and spacy, especially if you have three kids. Great cousine, very heplful staff. They helped us with arranging some trips. And there are some atraction for kids as well. I can really recommend:) http://www.liptovskydvor.com And enjoy holiday with your family.
If you would like to combine a sightseeing, nature and also having fun as for adults also for kids, you can:
-visit Lomnicky stit - Lomnicky peak (High Tatras) (2,634 m a.s.l.), offers amazing views. But is necessary to book a ticket advance (cable car). From anywhere in High Tatras you can get there by train and from there you continue by cable car to the top( half day trip).

- visit Besenova (http://www.besenovanet.sk/en) or Tatralandia in Liptovksy Mikulas ( http://www.tatralandia.sk/ ). Both of the mention places have thermal water, and are quiet big, offering also tubes, massages, ... a lot of fun/relax for adults also for kids. During winter you can experience how is to be in 38C thermal water while everything is covered by snow (outside). From High Tatras you can get there by train or bus (approx. one hour or two depends on type of transport).
- trip to Popradske Pleso (http://www.popradskepleso.com/sk/titulka/) , you can also spend there night in cottage.
