Ranua wildlife park

Is it worth to go to Ranua wildlife park in September? Will there be many animals in there? We are planning to do a day trip from Rovaniemi to the park.

Yes it is. All the animals are there (not hibernating yet), and many of them look better than in summer: they are changing to winter fur and the antlers of mooses are at their largest. You will not see the feeding shows, though. But the trees and shrubs in the park have already some autumn colours, and they have lean-tos where you can prepare sausages on open fire.

My 1st visit was last September, there was a lot to see (almost all animals) but the farm animals at the kids place wasn't there. Still worthy!
