We are thinking of driving to Lisbon airport around April 10 from Lagos via the n120. First, is there some nice scenery and maybe wildflowers? Second, would Vila Nova be a good spot for lunch and maybe a quick walk break?
It's a country road, plenty of twists and turns with quite decent scenery worth stopping for, until you hit the main highways and the Lisbon suburbs about 1 hour from the airport.
I think Vila Nova de Milfontes sounds a good place to stop. it's about half way. I have never been there but people I know who have say it is a very pleasant little place.
First, is there some nice scenery- if you are thinking about seaside, no there's not, you have to detour specifically for that.
maybe wildflowers? If it's a normal spring, yes, wild flowers will be already blooming.
Second, would Vila Nova be a good spot for lunch - for lunch, yes you have several restaurants in town. For a walk it depends, if all you want is a stretch of legs, yes.
Great! Good to hear about the wildflowers. Lovely interior scenery, birds and little towns are great. We would be looking for a short walk. Any place special to eat lunch in Vila Nova or another town on the way? Good local food sounds great.
Not in town, but one of my favorites Porto das Barcas https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g784072-d3265520-Reviews-Porto_De_Barcas-Vila_Nova_de_Milfontes_Beja_District_Alentejo.html
In town and the most famous locally Tasca do Celso https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g784072-d941317-Reviews-Tasca_do_celso-Vila_Nova_de_Milfontes_Beja_District_Alentejo.html

Oo, those restaurants all look like winners! Thanks so much!
any good places to get out and take a walk, maybe half hour or so?
