Anything worth visiting on bus or train something with nice Main Street and shops that aren't too expensive

I've been to Antwerp and going back at week end

Never been to Turnhout, hopefully some other contributor can advise you. Lier is small and very pretty, with pictoresque canals and the unique clocktower; Hasselt has good shopping and so does Leuven.
