I know they sell beer at the supermarket, and our dive master scored us a couple bottles of booze once, but I would also like to know if wine is available anywhere. Local Two Islands or Plaga is fine. Anyone?

Is there a place to buy wine in Sorong ? What is available ?

Count only on beer.

Update: We purchased 1 litre alcohol each and packed it in our checked-in luggage (wrapped in wine2go foldable package to protect it & other luggage contents). If you have a stopover, you could purchase 1 litre of alcohol duty-free & then pack it into your checked-in luggage. When we arrived in Sorong, we caught a yellow public van (plenty of storage room) to SAGA supermarket, and stocked up on Bintang beer. There were also limited premixed Smirnoff Black Ice Vodka bottles available. The price of the beer was 594,000 IDR per case (24) of 330ml bottles. Soft drinks (coke, sprite, fanta strawberry) were only sold in small 250ml cans. There was no soda or tonic water available.
