When do you intend to go?

2-3 nights in Cultural Triangle (Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, Minneriya, Dambulla) and 2 nights in Kandy could be an idea.

Do you have any special reasons for ending up in Colombo City? Colombo is mainly for shopaholics and not very interesting for the average tourist. Negombo (20 mins from the airport) could be a better idea.

Hi

Very good plan. Most of the people who visit SRI LANKA want to travel 6 -7 places in 5 -6 days. That is very tired and took lot of money.

You can either go to the country side or beach side. If you want both come and stay in Kandy for two days and another two days in Sigiriya or Dhambulla. Come to Colombo or Negombo for other days.

Sigiriya/Dambulla is about 2.5 hours by car from Kandy - 3-3.5 hours by bus.

Dambulla to Negombo: about 5 hours.

A roundtrip car with driver would be best for your plans, as cost is based on Rs 40-45/km. For one-way taxis you pay Rs 70-75/km. Roundtrip cars have a daily minimum mileage but that won't hurt in your case, and require accomodation with Drivers Quarter (e.g. most hotels) or a small extra fee per day for you for a guesthouse room/food for the driver.

All the best,
