Easter Services and/or Brunch near Turtle's Nest???
Save

We are heading to Grand Cayman on April 5th, staying at Turtle's Nest (nearby affiliate MoonBay Condo actually) and are hoping to find a friendly church and possibly brunch somewhere nearby for Easter Sunday. Any suggestions? Church on the Beach would be ideal!! ;-)

Thank you!!

Tukka usually has brunch on Sundays but I would recommend checking with them to make sure they will be doing something on Easter Sunday.

For Easter Sunday church services:

There's the United Church in Bodden Town - not on the beach but close! They will have Easter Sunday services. They were originally a Presbyterian Church so you may be familiar with that type of service. There's also a very active Church of God in Bodden Town that will have Easter Sunday services. All the churches there are friendly!

On Easter Sunday there is also usually an Easter Sunrise service on the beach or coastline somewhere in the eastern districts, coordinated by the Cayman Minister's Association. The time and location will be announced on Radio Cayman "Bulletin Board" [89.9 FM] after the news at 7am, 6pm, and 10pm, also usually in the Caymanian Compass newspaper. The front desk at Moon Bay Condos or at Turtle Nest Inn should be able to get that info for you too.

You might also check the Lighthouse. They have a Sunday brunch, but don't know what they do on Easter.

Here's a good list:

http://www.ecayonline.com/cayman-islands-churches.html

For Bodden Town there is one on the left on the main corner when you enter the Town, Just after the school- not really walking distance if dressed for Church. The other one is 300 yards from Turtle Nest. Moon Bay is about 1 mile away from the Church- you'll need a rental car if you haven't booked one already.
