Buying meat and seafood in PDC

Hi,

I'm going in two weeks time and was wondering where is the best place to buy the above? I'll be staying right near the Casino so would supermarkets be best and is there a good one near the Casino or is there a good butchers in the vicinity.? We'll be self catering and eating in some of the time. Many thanks in advance for any help.

The Hiperdino supermarket on C. Reina Sofia has an excellent meat counter and fresh fish. An alternative is Lanzameat Calle Toscon, 13. C.C.Montana Tropical. which is within walking distance of the supermarket. You could get a cab/bus to both and a cab back once you've shopped.

If your just after a few essentials day to day there is a Hiperdino on C. Anzuelo just up from the Casino........but we find the one in the old town is bigger and has a better choice along with the meat counter

If you have a car, the EuroSpa at the Macher Island is great. They have loads of different fish and seafoods and meats. We had an amazing Corn-fed, free range chicken from here - it was the best I have ever had. It still had the head attached!

There was talk of a Fish Market opening in the Old Town Square. Not sure if this ever went ahead. We have bought fish from the big fish place in the square, but that was a few years ago. Not sure if you can still buy direct from here. They had seafood too when we bought our fish.

We are going back to PDC next week after 8 years away, was wondering if Lanzameat was still there as we use to use it before. Would recommend going there if you want to have a bbq on your balcony.

They also used to sell English Bacon!

There's 2 fresh fish shops in the old town. One next to La Hoya car park entrance and there's another one facing the taxi rank at the start/back in the harbour itself!
