Pizzas are as good as any we have tasted in Funchal if not better
2 'Prazeres rurais' - 'Lavazza' coffee sign outside very reasonable prices - traditional authentic Madeiran dishes.

Festa de Nossa Senhora das Neves
The main village street has stalls selling food and drink including:
-espetada-typical Portuguese dish made usually of large chunks of beef rubbed in garlic and salt, skewered onto a bay leaf stick with vegetables such as onions and bell peppers left to grill over smouldering wood chips
-bolo do caco-a traditional Spanish flatbread served with garlic butter
-beers including no surprise Madeira's Coral beer!
