El Conquistador

Hi we were looking for a place to take young kids for music/dancing on A Saturday night when we are in town. Someone recommended the El Con or other local hotels for music in the lobby. Is that an option? Do you have to be a guest? Can non-guests pay for use of the waterpark or palomino island? Any resorts with casinos in the area? Thank you.

There is probably music in the lobby on the weekend, but probably not good for young kids. You do not have to be a guest.

Access to the waterpark and island is only for guests.

Trying to think if the Wyndham Rio Mar still has a casino. If it does, no kids allowed.

Which town or how far can you travel from fajardo? OSJ had that and other entertainment free on Friday and Saturdays at the some plazas when we were there. OK for children.

We are staying in Luquillo and arrive on Saturday and leave on Saturday. Since we are flying in from the northern US and driving from the airport to Luquillo we were looking for something more local so the kids will get a taste of music and culture. I think with having to grocery shop and get set up we will be beat so don't want to drive back to San Juan for the evening. I wish we could!

El Con has a, I would say "family lounge area". Kind of different because it is like a large open game room for kids, with an area for live music and a bar at the end. Where adults can have drinks while kids play.

I think that this area could be visited for non guests, because it is open, and they have restaurants that non guests can also visit. You would have to pay parking fee which is expensive. Games are paid using coins,, and there is an automatic cash exchange for coins machine.

Call the hotel to see if water park is accessible for non guests. They even charge guests for its use, so who knows is they allow non guests too.

Some of the kioskos in Luquillo have live music on weekends, but not really a kids atmosphere or much for the kids to do.
