Christmas season

My wife and I always go somewhere the weekend of her birthday, 12/16. We pick somewhere that had special things going on for the holiday season; this year it is Niagara Falls, Ontario for the lights festival. However I would like to stop in Buffalo on the way up or back (coming from N Central PA). Suggestions for a Christmas display, special event, etc. We will be traveling up on 12/14, coming back thru on 12/17. Thanks, Jeff

If you're in Niagara Falls on the Canadian side already, a 20 minute drive on the QEW will take you to Niagara on the Lake. A beautiful little area with lots of quaint shops and wineries. Darling at any time of year, but especially the Holidays!

On your way back you might want to consider stopping in Ellicottville, NY. Its a small little town with lots of cool little shops that you might find that perfect gift for Christmas.

I'm looking for the same thing. I did notice that East Aurora has their annual Carolcade on the 15th. You might be entrenched in Canada at that time, but it's something I'm going to check out on my visit (during the same time frame). https:/…
