Wedding and Guests in Santa Fe. Please help

Hi. I am doing research for a friend. She is planning on getting married in Santa Fe Sept 2010. There will be guests traveling from out of state (PA). Not sure how many. Any input on where to stay would be appreciated. Some where nice of course, but not over the top. She is hoping to get married at the Loretto Chapel. Also some input on what we MUST see and where we MUST eat at. From large groups to just couples. Thanks so much. ANY and ALL input appreciated.

Sorry, I was out of town on a short trip!

What is over the top to you pricewise? Look at Inn at the Loretto, Eldorado, La Fonda, Inn of the Governors, La Posada. St Francis, Hotel Plaza Real, Anasazi. All different prices ranges and nice. Check on www.santafe.org

Also have her check on marriage license requirements here in Santa Fe. santafecounty.org/clerk/marriagelicenses.php

Many places to dine... hard to list everything, but here's a few of various cuisines. Tomasitas, Blue Corn Cafe, The Shed, Cafe Pasquals, El Farol, Pranzo, The Railyard Restaurant, The Compound, Coyote Cafe, Amavi, O'Keeffe's,

Spend some time on www.santafe.org checking out the various places, then ask again for some more specifices!

Enjoy planning.

avoid last weekend of sept. due to wine festival, too busy, restaurants too crowded, hotels too full. loretto chapel is pretty with hotel next door, but it's big, may not be as cute as some other smaller places just as sante fe-style, lots of hotels to choose, look for one includes stuff (breakfast, parking, etc.) many do but bigger ones dont. for ideas-sf visitor guide from santafe.org and vacation guide from newmexico.org stay longer than a weekend, just not enough, getting to nm is a stop somewhere inbetween. if you already love the food, take a cooking class, maybe fun for family or even bachelors (yea ladies teach em to cook). where to eat? loaded with good food, all prices, depends on what you want. if you like spciy, eat as much green chile as you can, its the best and makes you feel happy.
