Easter Brunch/Activity

My husband and I are meeting my sister and her 2 college-aged kids in Omaha. Any suggestions for Easter brunch or mid-day meal (nothing too fancy)? Or other activities to do that day (that would be open)?

Hello, the weather in Omaha has been beautiful this spring - perfect for a family gathering!

Lauritzen Gardens, lauritzengardens.org/Visit/… is offering a brunch and egg hunt. Or you may want to just check out the lovely gardens.

The Joslyn Art Museum is open and hosting a neat Egyptian exhibit http://www.joslyn.org/. It has a little cafe.

The historic Old Market district has lots of cute shops and restaurants.

Check out http://www.visitomaha.com/ for more ideas.

I can't find a list of Easter Brunch spots, but you may want to check in with the World-Herald's food writer, http://omavore.omaha.com/

I have not been to brunch for the last 2 years but here are some places that we have been to in the past that you might want to check with:

Upstream Brewery ( Old Market and West Omaha)

Granite City ( Westroads )

Omaha Marriott Regency

Ameristar Casino - Council Bluffs

Grisanti's - Old Mill area

Maybe some of the downtown hotels as well
