Diamond Lounge at Harrahs

Which is best, Diamond Lounge at Harrah's or at the Horseshoe? Please provide a little info on them as well as any in casino restaurants you might recommend, please!

I can't answer the question, but you might try to post your question on the Council Bluffs forum as well. :)

I prefer the Horse-shoe more. It's newer, Jack bunions steak house is really good and the place is laid out better. The lounge is nice, free wifi, drinks, snacks...

The rooms options are better at this casino has well, I've stayed at close to all of them, prefer the Marriott across the big lot over them all!

Have fun and good luck!

I agree with the Horseshoe - A nicer Casino all around its free standing - Harrah's is on a riverboat. Binions Steakhouse is pricey but good. Decent buffet - was there Friday - try the prime rib, don't forget to tip your server LOL - Much better than Harrah's buffet.

The 360 at Harrah's is good as well but I would not go there just to eat.

Gambling - lots of $5 tables, nice high limit room. Great poker room. live grayhound racing. TIGHT slots - 90% average payback - thats pretty dismal but the Western Iowa casinos have the worst odds on machines than any of the other Iowa casinos. Just to compare - Las Vegas Strip properties average 92.5% and they seem tight.... I think that they are squeezing what they can from the Omaha metro market. Harrah's has better Video Poker and used to have some lower table limits but I have not been there in over a year - they used to have some $3 tables ( Craps and BJ ) .

Drink service is via electronic ordering - no wandering cocktail waitresses. Free drink stations. High ceilings but still a bit smoky especially on the machines. What was with the cigars last week?

Good Luck.
