Hi
We are a group of 9 looking for a transfer to and from Salzburg to Saalbach in a couple of weeks. The standard airport quotes are very high, does anyone know of a contact in Saalbach who would be interested?
Kind regards

Contact for a special quote for 9 people:

Not sure what you mean with a contact - it is a 90km drive and normally around 44 Euros. You can go bus - train - bus (http://www.oebb.at).
just google "transfer salzburg to saalbach" and many transfer companies will be shown.
Caroline,
The price issue that you are coming up against is that the standard minibus-taxi takes 8 passengers, so a group of 9 requires 2 taxis or a larger, more expensive 15-20 seat bus.
You could book an 8-seater taxi from Holiday-Shuttle.at, and send the last person on the regular Shuttle, but that is probably not really an option. The Salzburg Airport website has a list of transfer companies. Holiday-Shuttle/ Taxi Rainer serves Saalbach with private taxis and scheduled Shuttle transfers, but there are other companies.
Forget bus-train-bus as it is a roundabout route. If you want to use public transport, take the Postbus from Salzburg Airport towards Zell am See, and change at the crossroads at Maishofen for the Postbus up the valley to Saalbach. The drivers are very helpful and the Saalbach bus usually waits for the bus from Salzburg
We are also traveling to Saalbach from Saltzburg. . As there is only 2 of us a private transfer is expensive so we are looking getting the shuttle service which looks a great option for the price. The timing isn't brilliant so if we could share a private transfer . We travel on 27th Jan and the flight arrives at 18.20. If this coincided with yours and we jumped in yours that would also bring your cost down as well as it benefiting us.
Thanks

I researched this to no end and Jam Transfer were the best deal. We're just back and everything was on time and dependable.

Hi Caroline,
A friend of our owns Pension Enzian in saalbach. He arranged some transfers for us a couple of years ago from Salzburg to Saalbach, 2 x minibus taking 14 people in total. Each journey was 150 euros so 600 in total for all of us. The company used was a local one in Saalbach 'Cabtours' and their number is 0699 1414 3254. I cannot guarantee anything but worth calling them. Details of our booking is below.
We are off to Saalbach this weekend!!! :-)
Good luck!
Cheers
Ian

Amazing snow in Saalbach this year - all white !
Hi, I just searched for the same, but we are 10 people travelling from Salzburg Airport to Saalbach on the 5th of January 2019.
All companies recommended here were busy but I found a company on http://www.taxiadvisor.at
This site has a request form going to several companies and we got also a quote for EUR 600 return. Which comes to EUR 60 p.p. Sure cheaper then the EUR 84 for the shuttle service.
Saalbach just had half a meter of powder!!!!!! http://www.saalbach.com/en/live-info/weather
