Any hotel recommendations for bachelor party?

Never been to New Orleans so we don't even know where to start. Looking for some place close to nightlife, that has suites, at a reasonable price. Also looking for two beds per room to sleep more people (many places seemed to only have one).

Any recommendations on specific hotels or even general areas of town is greatly appreciated.

The Ramada Inn on Bourbon - They have a few suites and lots of Bourbon Street balcony rooms with double beds. The hotel is centrally located in the Quarter and always busy with bachelor/bachelorette parties.

The classic, though not inexpensive, accomodation would be a second story Bourbon St. balcony suite at The Inn on Bourbon (Ramada) or Royal Sonesta Hotel; or you can get one room with the second floor Bourbon Street balcony as the "party" room, and then other standard rooms with 2 beds in other parts of the hotel. Bourbon Orleans (Wyndham) also has 2nd floor Bourbon St. balcony suites and rooms.

For typical bachelor party accomodations you will probably want to be in or VERY close to the French Quarter, best if within 1/4 mile of the intersection Toulouse St. and Bourbon St.

I know you guys are young and want to party but I would not stay on Bourbon. There are great hotels in NOLA. I would stay a block or two away from Bourbon so you can enjoy some peace but you won't be too far away from the big party. Stay at Le Marais, Monteleone, Provincial, St. Marie, Place D Armes, Iberville Suites or Dauphine Orleans.

I like Axle's list of hotels, a lot, but you should know that hotels adjoining Bourbon St. typically have rooms that do not adjoin Bourbon St. ("courtyard rooms") which are relatively peaceful and quiet; hence the idea of having a "party" room AND other "courtyard" rooms.

I second Loop's suggestion of a courtyard room on Bourbon. You can walk out the front door and down Bourbon Street but you won't hear the party at night when you go to bed. The Royal Sonesta would be a great choice. They have a great rooftop bar and heated pool. Enjoy your visit.

I mentioned the Chateau Bourbon above also. They are on Bourbon and have a heated pool too. But they are located on the far W side of the FQ where there's less street noise.

All really depends on the budget.

For a tighter budget and just a room, the suites at Prince Conti are a good option for filling up a room and getting a quite night sleep but right in the action.

For a bigger budget, like the others said, Inn on Bourbon and Royal Sonesta and go with a balcony room. You won't sleep well, but on a bachelor party who does/cares?

LOL - nice answer cleetus. That's how we always justify staying in the balcony rooms at the IOB. Shoot, we can sleep at home, in the meantime, WE'RE IN NEW ORLEANS!!!!

the closer to Bourbon Street the better. And, i suspect, you will be able to sleep , no matter what when you are ready to crash.
