First night in NOLA tonight staying in the French quarter. What are some good seafood restaurants in the french quarter? Also some good bars?
Welcome!! Best seafood restaurant in the Quarter: GW Fins but pretty much every place will have good seafood (Muriel’s for Puppy Drum!), as far as bars go, there are so many it’s awesome! From the Carousel to Harry’s Corner, my suggestion would be to stop into as many as you can!
Have a great time!!!
I agree with the above, regarding restaurants with seafood. Here are some more, and while not all could be typified as a pure "seafood restaurant," seafood will be prominently featured on most of the menus:
Here is my "short-list," along with links to many of my Reviews. Some Reviews are missing, but then I have added a few new ones, and nearly all have Photos, as well.
Many are in the French Quarter, but some are in the near-by CBD. The rest are scattered around New Orleans, but most are on, or near, the public transportation lines, such as the Streetcars.

For breakfasts, we are more into a sit-down meal, rather than a "grab-n-go."
Here are my favorites, but note that many are a bit on the "up-scale" side of the spectrum:

On a recent trip, we enjoyed our meal at Restaurant R’Evolution (though there were a few rough spots, but mainly in service) - https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Revie…
We also had a great Brunch at Red Gravy, however due to being a holiday, the menu was limited. I see it recommended highly for Breakfast, and based on that Brunch, would not hesitate: http://redgravycafe.com/
Acme’s Oysters, Muriel’s, Johnny’s Po Boy
Yes, and thanks for pointing that out - need to edit my list. Forgot about that part.
