Pet Friendly Hotel & Restaurants

My boyfriend and I will be making a stop in Asheville after the Thanksgiving holiday for only one night. We will have our 40 lb. boykin spaniel with us, so we are looking for a pet friendly hotel close to downtown. After some initial research, I think we may go with the Aloft Asheville Downtown. Has anyone ever stayed here or have any feedback about this hotel? Also looking for pet friendly restaurants in the downtown area. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

The Aloft is awesome for pet friendliness. There is a grassy area behind the hotel with a bin for poop bags, and a fenced off dog run on the pool deck, with artificial grass and a hose to spray it down. The hotel has a fun vibe, and is centrally located in downtown Asheville. Many restaurants are pet friendly, with outdoor seating. Asheville is a very pet friendly town. There are websites for pet friendly stuff, like bringfido.com and petfriendly.com

Have fun!

CORRECTION! Just back from Asheville. The Aloft is still very pet friendly, but the grassy area behind the hotel is no longer there--they are apparently adding rooms to the Aloft in that spot. (They do have a dog run on the pool deck, with artificial turf)

Look at the Swiss Chalets. They consist of several one and two bedroom cottages. All are pet friendly. They have full kitchens. Several have small fenced areas for your dog
