Are they making any films in San Francisco area during the Summer?

If so whosinem and whatsit about ?

I might be prepared to offer my services as 2nd Unit director if the script is any good.

Would love to see some location work when we are there in Aug/Sept.

Thanks

Few of us out here are in the film industry. A lot of location shooting has gone up to Canada.

Check out the Mayor's Film Commission website below. I've also provided a press release on the mayor's initiative to get more filming done in the city, which is the second url below.

I think if the companies are filming, you have to be in the trade unions. The Academy of Arts school might have student projects.

They just recently wrapped or are finishing up filming for RenT. They shot a bit in SoMa and have a whole indoor stage on Treasure Island.

I don't know when it will be filming but I think they will be shooting a Will Smith film that takes place in 1981 in SF.

If you would like to look into working on indy films check out Film Arts Foundation website.
