kfog 21 May/sfo BART

I'm trying to make it to this event, but a question.

The KFOG website suggests from the Emarcadero BART stop you get the MUNI N-Judah line to Embarcadero. Do we have to? Can't we just walk to the Pier 30/32 area from the BART station at Embarcadero. We'll have been staying at Fisherman's Wharf 12th - 15th May so will have some idea of where we are etc.

Time will be short, our flight gets into SFO at 7.50pm, and if we are to make it to this event (arrive at SFO, dump bags at hotel some 1.5/2miles from airport and then back to airport to pick up BART)I don't want to waste any time.

How long do the fireworks last? Need to know if it's worth us making the effort if it starts to get late.

Wish I'd known about this before and I would have booked an earlier flight to SFO - as it was I thought we'd be stuck around the airport so might as well get there later!

Well, you will be cutting it short. The fireworks are usually about 15-20 minutes long, and often start a touch late. Yes, you can walk- we always do- although if there's a trolley I'd take it. I think you'll have to play it by ear and see how your timing goes. Good luck!
