Honestly... nowhere.

Where are you coming from ? Perhaps you can go to SF without the car at all, which would be advisable.

Use the Spot Hero Ap to book and pay for parking or just park at the5th & Mission or the Ellis O'Farrell Garage. Make sure you don't leave anything in your car. I'm assuming you are driving into the city for the day from a suburb.

I assume you are driving into the city then leaving? The 5th and Mission lot mentioned above is easy to access from the freeway and close to the Powell St stop.

Well, Thanks. very discouraging. We will be on a road trip. With luggage etc. Could we park in a safe suburb and Uber into the city. This seems crazy. We are staying at ACHotel Marriott, the prior night. Want to see the city and Alcatraz during the day, Then leave via the GGBridge.

Leave your luggage at the AC for the day and collect it before you leave town.

Looks like your hotel is by the airport. If you do choose to park in the city, don't open the trunk once you park in SF and take EVERYTHING out and leave nothing visible and take all valuables and things that can't be replaced with you. When we parked at the 5th and Mission lot last, there were many many broken glass and folks with newly broken into car with folks dealing with security and police taking reports.

you could park and leave your items at the chancellor hotel. the GM has been so generous as to hold luggage for non paying guests. i don't know what the suggested tip per bag is. someone can chime in or you can do a search on this forum.
