dry town update

jsonline.com/news/wisconsin/ephraim-rare-wis…

this has long been a debate on here whether people should stay in Ephraim or not due to it being a dry town. For us it was never an issue if you wanted to dine with wine, etc. hop in the car and just drive to next door communities. It really is a non issue to stay there when so much is nearby and if it's not the focus of the trip. Ephraim really is one of the loveliest Door County communities.

So whether the dry town stays or goes it'll always remain a lovely place to visit and stay.

Makes no difference to me, the Chefs Hat in Ephraim which serves very nice dinners allows you to bring your own bottle of wine in to enjoy with dinner.

You beat me to it on posting this! We always found it a non-issue also. We often dine out in multiple locations around the Door and this is the last thing on our mind. But, we usually do have a few bottles of Simon Creek's best in the trunk!

Just to clarify, It will be a "moist" town! Beer and wine in restaurants only, no liquor, no offsale. Process should be complete by July.
