General Advice?

We are coming in few days soon so my husband and kids can ski. I can't ski due to injury.

1. We have done ski school out west and it is very expensive here comparatively! Any ideas on getting good deals?

2. Restaurant recommendations?

3. What will keep me occupied since I can't ski? Is tubing open? Other activities nearby?

Oh and best and cheapest place to get rentals if there are multiple options? My husband has most of his gear, but the kids don't.

I'm sure you have checked out their website. Here are some good deals they have for March. Not sure if they would apply to your trip.

For rentals, you can google Ski Rentals Snowshoe and a few options do come up. You pass by this one on your way in....

Where are you staying? Somewhere in the Village is the best place...imo. There are shops, restaurants and the Split Rocks pool and spa for those that don't ski. Looks like tubing might be closed when you come.

Here is a great link for more to do and what is going on in the next few days. .....

Have fun! Looks like they will get a little more snow this weekend and the first of the week. Roads will be fine though. (there are webcams you can look at in the Snowshoe website)

Restaurants to consider - Cheat Mountain Pizza, The Junction, Red Spruce Cafe and Tavern, Foxfire Grille. All are reasonably priced, the food is consistently decent, and the servers are great. Oh, and they are all centrally located in the Village.

Restaurant to avoid - Sunset Cantina and Auntie Pasta's. Although they are centrally located, the food and service are both terrible.

Have fun! It is promising to be a great week to be skiing at Snowshoe - lots of natural snow on the way!
