Nice/upscale place to eat at Snowshoe??

I have been to snowshoe a few times and can never seem to find a nice/upscale place to eat in the village. Usually when I go the Village restaurants are so overcrowded that you can not even get to the bar for a drink or the wait to sit is well over an hour. Is there anywhere that is a nice place to dine where you can make a reservation in advance for in the area of Snowshoe. Will take a shuttle but I don't want to have to drive.

Thanks for any help!!

Here is a link to the restaurants at Snowshoe. Looks like Pasta's is in the village and is a good match for you. Alpine is on the mountain and you can take the shuttle. Elk River is another very nice restaurant but off site. Might have a shuttle. Have fun!

The closest to fine dining at the top of the mountain would be South Mountain Grille at Soaring Eagle. It's been a few years since we've eaten there, but it's probably the nicest thing up there. We like Elk River, but it's a drive off the mountain.

We have had good experiences at South Mountain Grille at Soaring Eagle as well.

If you do not want to drive......you are limited to what's on top of the mountain. Even willing to drive your choices are very limited. Snowshoe is right in the middle of the most remote area of the Eastern US. So your choice is to drive to Elkins or Marlinton. But the number of 'upscale' places to eat is limited by your definition of such places.

You will not find restaurants in the area that you might even find in Charleston WV or in the panhandle over toward DC......Pocahontas is a simple area and very remote with a handful of year round residents......hard to keep a 'upscale' place going year round here.
