Looking for a nice RV campground near Charleston WV. Any recommendations?
This reply probably comes too late for you but I do not know of any RV campgrounds in the immediate Charleston, WV area. The Kanawha State Forest is in Chas but I was surprised to see it offered any camping. It does state "Camping at Kanawha State Forest is remote in nature given the proximity to the state’s capitol city. Sites cater to camper units of 26-feet or less, pop-up and tent camping."
Nice campgrounds would be at the State Parks or campgrounds at least an hour from Charleston.
Please let us know if you found any.
Rippling Water, about 20 miles north. 4 miles off exit 116. 304.988.2607. Big rig friendly. Fills up often.Edited: 13 August 2017, 21:05
