I WAS quite relieved when I eventually managed to find Marina di Camerota on a listing as I wasn't having much luck with Pisciotta or Palinuro. Really appreciate the information, am still thinking of hiring at Naples airport, just have to get clear directions how to return to the airport!

try to extend your search on google with other keywords such as "car hire in Cilento area" "car rental in Ascea" or"....in Casalvelino"(villages close to Palinuro)

Thanks for the tip - I managed to make contact with the car hire agency in Palinuro as mentioned in the other post and we, eventually, came to a mutually agreed price! Many thanks to everyone, this is such a great help (and relief) to get good and current advice - we old dears do sometimes get into just a little bit of panic !!
